As many reviewers have noted, the only downside of this series is that each title is so short, more of a novella. I saw one person complain that they didn’t want to spend a whole credit on a five-hour book. But think of it this way: the enjoyment is so pure and concentrated that the pleasure-per-credit is not deleted in the least. So it was with great excitement that I got a pre-publication notice for book 5 recently and immediately preordered it. And it’s going to be 12 hours long! I can’t wait.In the meantime, I got the entire series from my local library as print books, curious about how the stories read without the totally excellent narration from Kevin Free. The stories are just as good, but still, the narration in the audiobooks adds a whole other dimension of delightfully dry sarcasm.
