What Audible Listeners Are Saying

5/5 stars — “Eh. Michael Kramer would’ve been way better”
Some of the performers sounded off in their timing and demeanor. The others did a great job. But after hearing Michael Kramer read a section of this book in Arcanum Unbounded, I just couldn’t go back. I finished this volume and still continue with the story, but man do I wish they had a version with just Kramer reading. He’s so on point and perfectly executes every character. Who knows? Maybe someday.

4/5 stars — “There’s a reason you don’t hear many footsteps in movies.”
The story is a very fun one. I like finally listening about characters that have been mentioned throughout the cosmere for some time now. The magic system is pretty awesome too, very creative.

Unfortunately the dramatization suffers from someone not proof listening to the final product. The sound editing was either rushed or not checked by a listener of books. I get that it’s supposed to be an adaptation of a graphic novel and that it’s also DRAMATIZED but some sections are almost unlistenable due to the exaggerated amounts of footsteps and background.

Aside from that I really enjoyed the story and am probably going to splurge for the GN. Please if audible takes notes of these or the publishing companies do, please reedit some of the sounds for them and re-release them!!

5/5 stars — “Cool magic system “
Great story by Mr. Sanderson per usual. New unique magic system. Love the graphic audio.
