Okay, listen. The Intruder is Freida at her absolute best — dark, twisted, and totally unhinged in all the right ways. I liked The Housemaid, sure, but this one? It’s smarter, creepier, and way more unpredictable.From the first chapter, I was suspicious of everyone — and I still managed to get blindsided. Every time I thought, “yep, I’ve cracked it,” Freida basically said, “sit down, sweetheart.” The pacing is ruthless. The characters are messy in that perfect psychological-thriller way. And the ending…a classic mic drop.
This book is chaos and tension wrapped in Freida’s signature “what the hell just happened” bow — and I loved every second. If you need a thriller that will mess with your head in the best way possible — The Intruder is it.
