I loved this novel until the last part and the epilogue. Maybe I just read too many murder mysteries but I think that is what I was expecting the entire time. This would be a nice read for a young adult. It was noticeable from the start and moreso throughout and toward the end. Playing Simon Says and the story felt more like Escape to Witch Mountain and there were no witches. I lost interest at Simon Says.
