Overall I enjoyed this book. The main character showed the roll of women in that time and how they were able to influencer others. at times the male characters took over the story which I found frustrating as they were not who it was about. I love a good book that takes the time to tell the story – I also appreciated that this author ( at least in this book) didn’t do the repetitive word descriptions to increase word count – or was clever in disguising it so it was not noticeable. This is a practice I am seeing way too often that even favorite authors I love are taking on this practice.So this author gets my 5 stars for an interesting story, her characters were intriguing and I loved the way she weaves fact & fiction together.
